The California Manuscript.
California is not a place; it is a pacing. The rhythm of the coast — from the salt-grey mornings of Venice to the dry gold of the Valley — taught us the most important thing a maker can learn: that the material always knows more than the hand. Presidential began in 2012 because a small group of Californians noticed that cannabis, once it crossed a certain threshold of care, began to behave less like a commodity and more like a vintage.
The first Moon Rock was assembled, not manufactured. It was the product of a particular patience — flower chosen for density, distillate chosen for clarity, kief chosen for its trichome character — and a refusal to rush any of the three. Fourteen years later, the patience is the only thing that has not changed.
